Formation of a system of effective management of logistics in military units: organizational and economic aspects
Abstract. The efficiency of the logistics process of material and technical support, its constant updating, in accordance with scientific and technical achievements, is a complex process that requires special attention at all stages of the implementation of the achievements of a modern, educated army. This process also includes such elements as: organization, development, logistics, management, transportation, warehousing and provision of medical services.
Rational use of state resources in the procurement of weapons makes it possible to achieve the set goals, which is necessary for prompt response and changes in the military sphere, and compliance with requirements in all branches of the armed forces. Thanks to this, it is possible to use our own and involved forces and resources to solve the main tasks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The purpose of this article is to study the organizational and economic aspects of the formation of an effective management system for logistics support in military units.
In 2019, the countries of the world as a whole spent on defense $ 1,917 billion. This is the largest amount for defense since 1988. In 2019, global defense spending was 2.2% of global GDP, or an average of $ 249 per capita.
The article determines that the main task of solving issues in the direction of material support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the formation of an effective management system for logistics support in military units. Organizationally, the economic aspects of the formation of a system of effective management of logistics support in military units, as practice shows, differ significantly from civil logistics. This became especially noticeable during the military events, when the load increased sharply. The incompatibility of the state of military material and technical support with the tasks assigned to it reduces the power of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and building up capabilities, as you know, is a long process.
The authors in the article determined that there are ways to solve this problem, and specifically, it is necessary to delegate certain functions to civil logistics companies. This will allow, if necessary, to significantly increase the material and technical capabilities associated with solving the tasks of the Armed Forces and the National Guard, practically without investment. In addition, it will be possible to free about 30% of those involved in supporting the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from performing auxiliary tasks and significantly reduce costs.
The article notes that the organizational and economic aspects of the formation of a system of effective management of logistics support in military units will contribute to the introduction of the principles of military doctrine and the confirmation of value in the process of training troops.
