The forms and functions of human capital are considered. The essence of organizational and entrepreneurial capital as a derivative form of human capital is revealed. It has been proven that entrepreneurs are the driving force of the knowledge economy as a carrier of knowledge and as a force that stimulates the desire for innovation, comprehensively applying and using knowledge. It is noted that knowledge allows the owners of organizational and entrepreneurial capital to find new non-traditional development opportunities, develop new resources, model technologies, develop labor tools, initiate social processes, which ensures the reproduction of the national product and the creation of jobs. The analysis of the requirements of professional standards of pedagogical, scientific and pedagogical workers and heads of educational institutions was carried out, the lack of continuity in these requirements depending on the level of education regarding the readiness of teachers to form organizational and entrepreneurial capital among applicants for education was revealed.
