The Role Of Project Technologies In Teacher Professional Development


Abstract

The article defines the role of design technology in the professional development of a teacher. The scientific-methodical literature on the mentioned problem is analyzed; on the example of the department of the methodology of language and literature teaching «Kharkiv Academy of Continuing Education» the role of design technology in the process of raising the professional level of teachers of philology disciplines is revealed. It is shown how the teachers of the Department of Methodology of Language and Literature Studies of the «Kharkiv Academy of Continuing Education» apply non-traditional methods, forms and methods of work, both during the teaching of theoretical material and during the conference on the exchange of experience for improving the professional skills of teachers of institutions of general secondary education education. It is confirmed that the design technology is aimed at using the teacher to combine the research, search, creative methods, methods and means of their own. The essence of the design technology is revealed, namely: stimulation of students' interest in certain problems involving the possession of a certain amount of knowledge. The article shows that the project technology is an effective tool in the modern educational process, which is accompanied by the introduction of new technologies and the updating of the forms and methods of organizing the training of students of general secondary education institutions on a daily basis. It is determined that application of the method of projects allows modern educator to form special innovative skills, which are necessary in the context of updating the organization of educational process of institution of general secondary education. Thus, it has been practically proved that the formation of a professional pedagogical culture of a person should become the leading feature of the present, the main place in which the project culture of the teacher should take as the organizer and initiator of design and technological activity.
