Features of the organization of independent extracurricular activities of international students in the universities of Great Britain

Abstract

Abstract. The article analyzes the organization features of independent extracurricular activities for students of international relations at universities in the UK. It was found that the main principles of Bachelors self-study of include: complexity, modularity, system and continuity, compliance with the sources of information.

Peculiarities of practical training are internships at the university or participation in international programs, as well as internships as volunteers in well-known organizations. It is established that British universities provide students with the opportunity to undergo short-term or long-term internships.

Of practical value is students performance of independent research (scientific and practical research on the interests and needs of the student). It is emphasized that this type of independent extracurricular activity is worth attention and introduction, as it has no analogue in the Ukrainian experience. The article notes that the forms of organization of independent research can be different, namely: internships on site or off-campus according to instructions; conducting independent lectures; participation in exchange programs; participation in transdisciplinary educational programs, etc.
