Pedagogical diagnosis of the quality of training future skilled workers in institutions of vocational education of the railway profile
Abstract. The proposed pedagogical diagnosis of the quality of training of future skilled workers in vocational education institutions of the railway profile is based on a number of conceptual provisions that reflect current trends in education: the focus of the educational process and diagnostics on professional and personal development of future skilled workers in the vocational education institution. ; recognition of the student of the institution of vocational education as an active subject of educational activity, which is reflected in the combination of managerial activity of the teacher and self-managing activity of the student in the integral management cycle; consideration of pedagogical phenomena and processes from the standpoint of a systems approach, which provides an opportunity to present diagnostics as a complex object, the elements of which are defined as a whole and determine the functioning of the system as a whole. Teachers are offered to diagnose the knowledge, skills and abilities of students in professional subjects with the help of control and diagnostic procedures. These include traditional oral and written interviews, tests of three levels of difficulty, each of which contains four tasks – from reproductive tasks to more productive and creative. Testing as a diagnostic tool performs the following functions: control, educational, upbringing, developmental, stimulating, feedback, prognostic, formation of skills of self-analysis and self-diagnosis, self-improvement and self-education.
