Criteria, indicators and levels of scientific and methodological competence of primary school teachers

Abstract

The article analyzes the problem of managing the development of scientific and methodological competence of teachers of educational institutions of the first degree in pedagogical theory and educational practice. A definitive analysis of the categories "criterion", "component" is carried out. To determine the structure of the scientific and methodological competence of a teacher of an educational institution of the first degree, in our study, according to certain criteria, the components that have the corresponding indicators that illuminate and reveal the content of the phenomenon under study were identified. Based on the methodological approaches of the study, the essential characteristics of the concept of "scientific and methodological competence of a teacher of an educational institution of the first degree", we have identified the following components: motivational-value, theoretical-methodological, technological, reflexive.

It has been established that the reforming of general secondary education has led to significant changes in the management of the development of educational institutions, in particular, to the allocation of the problem of managing the development of scientific and methodological competence of teachers of educational institutions of the 1st degree from the entire set of existing ones as a priority. The interdisciplinary nature of the problem under study necessitated the definition and substantiation of scientific approaches, taking into account their constructive capabilities.

The generalization of the experience of the work of educational institutions of the 1st degree made it possible to find out that an indicator of a high level of development of the scientific and methodological competence of primary school teachers is the high development of these components and their integral unity. The level of development of the studied competence of a primary school teacher and the further trajectory of his scientific self-development depend on the degree of formation of indicators.
